It took me 13 stamps (including a mistake one by the careless Hungarian border guard) on the visa to get through București twice. I am glad to see a 24 days visa could be so useful. Anyway, the US embassy is too slow this time so I don’t have a picture of the stamps right now.

I found București is quite like a common chinese city. timzhouyuan agreed on that.

This is a parliament, which is said to be inspired by China and Korea. But I don’t find anything similar.

Ogni strada porta a Roma.

The time I arrived Roma was evening. It took me an hour or more to get to my B&B. The owner of the B&B is a couple and the wife is from Denmark, who knows not too much more Italian to me.

The next morning I spent a walk to the colosseo. It’s just a piece of rock. But it was a nice weather.

There are people outside dressing as gladiator.

The Roma foro looks better than the colosseo. However I don’t know the history of them either.

There is a marriage ceremony holding outside foro.

After that I walked inside the city. There are some nice lanes in the city. The most famous one is this building called Patheon, which has been copied thousands of times.

At the afternoon I walked to cittá del Vanticano. The entrance is Piazza San Pietro.

I saw this inside Basillica di San Pietro. It seems that the translation joke not only happens in China.

I also saw this in the subway. Chinese is rather popular in Roma.

I spent a few hours around vanticano to buy souvenirs. First I forgot my passport on the flight, which took me a long time to get it back. Second, the officer selling tickets for Leonardo Express was telling me that they have a van going to the city and asked if I am going with them. He let me follow an old man but it seems that the old man is not going to the van. So it took me an hour to return the ticket and get another one for the train… Anyway I got this venetian mask from a shop near vanticano.

And also this pair of porcelain elephants, which I broke one of them when touching. So I had to buy them but the shop owner made a discount.

I managed to glue them up, but you can still see the crack.

Thanks to timzhouyuan.

Österreich, der Garten von Wien

This is the ad I see when I got on the flight. I was surprised that Wien is a nice city. The good impression comes from the wonderful railway system, and the fall color in the forest. My apartment was near Universität Wien.

There was a Gothic-styled church nearby. I don’t know what the name is it. The only words I can understand around it are gasse and straße.

I sit an afternoon in front of Donau. It was windy and cold.

The Donau branch has a better view than Donau itself.

I wandered in the city, but most of the time I just don’t know what everything is…
